Palloys introduces a new Platinum Casting Alloy

Palloys introduces a new Platinum Casting Alloy

Palloys metallurgists have been hard at work developing a world first – a non magnetic Platinum Cobalt alloy. Platinum Cobalt alloy is the alloy recommended by the World Platinum Guild because “…the fluidity of the molten alloy leads to the filling of complex castings. Generally, a better shrink cavity is achieved, and thus there is less micro porosity distributed throughout the casting” (WPG Features and Benefits of Different Platinum Alloys, 2005 Kris Vaithinathan and Richard Lanam). The downside to Platinum Cobalt has always been that it is very slightly magnetic – this has encouraged some manufacturers to request a Platinum Iridium alloy for their casts even though the World Platinum Guild notes that Platinum Iridium “...has lost popularity due to the lack of strength in the as-cast condition.” Now with the non magnetic Palloys Platinum Cobalt alloy, you get all the benefits of a premier alloy without a magnetic downside! The choice is clear – contact a Palloys customer service representative today on 1300 886 108 to give the new Palloys Platinum Cobalt alloy a try – you’ll be hooked!
